Heh, you might have to take a week off! Apparently The Crew is all about exploring off the beaten track too though.
Agreed. Both games are pretty hands-off in terms of gameplay, but The Wolf Among Us has such a great story compared to Beyond! DAT ENDING.
I'd love to get the Wii U version, but it's so cheap on PC... hell, it's actually about £4 since I own the base game and DLC already. Shame, really, this could have been a killer exclusive, but more choice is definitely a good thing!
I think it's a cheeky nod to the Creepypasta community, and a way of whipping up loads of cool new stories.
Pretty sure Crytek means that they had to rewrite the code to change from Xbox 360 to Xbone when you put the quote in context.
Doesn't matter, though, because Ryse still looks like a total mess. I'm staying well clear of this one.
Meh. As I said, I'm not the least bit offended by this - I've enjoyed all manner of weird and wonderful (and risky) things over years of import gaming. Plus, this has only been confirmed for Japan. No harm no foul.
But ThePsychoGamer mentioned Disgaea, and that's a perfect example of a game that gets it right, at least for me. Disgaea is ecchi as hell, it brought enough ecchi for the whole class, but it's a superb SRPG that doesn't need to stoop to this le...
Wow, a lot of people defending a game that needlessly lets you whip a bunch of girls with the touchscreen, even though it claims to be a strategy RPG. I'm not personally offended in the slightest, but damn, pick your battles people.
I'll be playing Pokemon, Tearaway, Fire Emblem Awakening and Killzone Mercs, because I love handheld gaming and own both both for their unique experiences. Different is good, but let's not pretend that this particular example of cynic...
I hated the DS3 with a passion, and I still do. Just found the left thumbstick position exerted constant strain due to its placement - it's a personal thing, and I couldn't get on with it.
HOWEVER.
Finally managed to get hands-on with a DS4 recently at an expo, and it's completely sold me. The extra width and longer handles make it really comfortable, and it feels really solid without compromising weight and balance. Well played Sony!

The issue of crunch time is something that publishers need to sort out soon, and frankly, I feel that developers need a union. They need a union yesterday. Crunch time is a complex issue, since every game large and small requires a huge amount of last-minute work - and many developers take great pride in making sure their wares are as good as possible - but there's work to be done.
HOWEVER, that aside, I think it's awful form to boast about making developers eat thous...
Games should be as long as they need to be. There are already any number of fantastic, deep and experimental games that last between 15 minutes to three hours, available on PC or even in browser. If games set out to accomplish a specific goal or make an artistic statement, they should last as long as it takes to fulfil their aim and end before they outstay their welcome.
So long as, of course, the price is right - and it's actually worth your time. Thought Rain failed har...
X. Give us X.
Looks great, but I thought this was translated as "over my dead body"?
Hey, can we please stop trying to close the gap between cinema and games? As in, right now?
Games can do things that cinema can only dream of. We can interact with them, read ourselves into them, enjoy them collaboratively, all things that make it a potentially much more interesting and versatile art form. I wish some studios would get over their obsession with trying to be more like cinema, as opposed to being as different and unique as possible.
IMO parents should pay closer attention to their children's hobby or enjoy it with them, and buy games accordingly. Or, you know, sometimes sit down with them while they're playing and put what they're doing into context.
It will never be possible to completely stop parents buying games for minors (it's technically illegal here in the UK, but practically impossible to prevent), but as diepdiep says above, a little common sense would go a long way.
Multiplayer? Really?
Not entirely sure every game needs multiplayer, especially those based around - you know - the harsh reality of living in a depopulated nuclear wasteland.
@TongkatAli - for some reason it didn't reply. Agreed. Have both, will keep playing awesome games on the train and in front of the telly!
Like Android a lot, especially 'fablets,' but a dedicated device like this seems unnecessary.
You hit the nail on the head for me. How could Nintendo not get at least one of MK7 or SSB ready for year one? They had a whole year before the PS4 and Xbox One released, and frittered it away because they weren't ready.
Loving Pikmin 3 and TW101, but it's not enough, and the Christmas slate is looking pretty lean at best. Taking on two next-gen consoles with a Mario and Sonic game? Good luck with that.
Maybe. But the more I think about it, PERSONALLY, the more I don't really care about F2P on consoles.
I have a PC, and play loads of F2P stuff on it. I play Planetside 2. Warframe. War Thunder. You know, all that stuff that's coming to the PS4 - I'm playing it NOW and have been for months. Still, at least Sony are making the effort!
What I need, really, is some juicy AAA exclusives. I hate myself for saying it, but when it comes to paying out hund...
Would it have been too big though? More is better, sometimes, but GTA is really dense too - lots going on. A bigger map might have watered it down.
The Crew is designed for only vehicles, so it stands to reason that it's bigger. The micro scale is definitely going to be less fleshed-out than a sandbox game AFAIK.
